Mary-Ann Schreiner

Mary-Ann G. Schreiner is a qualified Registered Nurse, trained in Canada and has practiced in Canada, England, Nigeria, Kenya and the USA.

She became excited and involved in aesthetic medicine when working under the renowned Dr. Roy Geronemus, Past President of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery at the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York. There she had the opportunity to learn all aspects of laser technology and its use in Aesthetic Medicine.

When Mary-Ann moved to Johannesburg in 2007, she sought after the same work experience to build on her knowledge gained in New York. She met the dynamic Dr. Maureen Allem, which started a professional relationship based on their mutual excitement for new advanced technologies for anti-aging and non-surgical aesthetic medicine.

Mary-Ann is the Regional Manager for Skin & Body Renewal and assists with the development of treatment protocols, new product and treatment research, client relations, clinic monitoring & evaluation as well as quality assurance throughout the company.

Beverley Warner

Beverley Warner

Beverley Warner completed her Health and Skin Care qualification at Cape Technicon in 1997.

After graduating, she worked on various cruise liners for 3 years. She started as a therapist and moved up to a position of assistant spa manager.

During 2000 and 2001 she opened two of her own salons in Cape Town; in the Northern Suburbs as well as the West Coast. In 2003 she became Team Leader and later Spa Manager at AltiraSPA at the Western Cape Hotel & Spa.

In 2006 she took up a position of Spa Director for the Saxon Spa & Studio; to assist with the opening of the new spa and training for the Spa Manager and Assistant Spa Manager. In July, Beverley joined Elemis SA as their National Trainer on a part time basis, where she was responsible for training new staff on product knowledge and therapies. In March 2007 she was promoted to Training Manager on a full time basis. Occasionally she also has the privilege of judging for the Annual Les Nouvoules Spa Awards.

Finally, in June 2009, Beverley Warner joined the Skin Renewal family as Operations Manager. Beverley runs the Day-to-day operations of the company. Her sole purpose is to find ways to make the company more productive by providing effective methods in its business operations. Beverley duties include facilitating several programs around the company, controls inventory, handles logistics and interviews and supervises the Skin & Body Renewal employees.

Coleen McCann

Coleen-McCann

Coleen McCann is a qualified Assessor/Moderator, who has examined for the South African Association of Health and Skincare Professionals (SAAHSP) and CIDESCO. The CIDESCO diploma is recognized as the most advanced certification in the field of Esthetics and Beauty Therapy in the world. Those who have achieved this standard are indeed valuable as they have the ability to not only analyze the skin but the body as well.

Long before she developed an interest in skincare and aesthetics, she studied Forensics and Genetics. Coleen worked in Human Genetics research in the Department of Human Genetics at SAIMR under Prof Trefor Jenkins for many years. During this time, she established DNA Fingerprinting as a routine part of Paternity testing, performed Tay-Sachs gene carrier status for the Ashkenazi Jewish population, and did serogenetic typing on many indigenous populations of Southern Africa.

Coleen felt she needed a change and redirected her career to skincare. She studied at Thalia Shaer International and opened her own salon after qualifying. She specialized in aromatherapy and reflexology. At the same time she lectured part time, mainly in science and anatomy.

Coleen joined the Skin Renewal team in 2007 as the in-house Training Manager, ensuring that the therapist in all our clinics maintain the same high standards. She constantly attends various lectures and training in the medical aesthetics field in order to stay up to date with the most current and effective treatments and technologies.

Lindi Scheffers

Lindi-Coetzee

Lindi is a qualified Health and Skincare Therapist, obtained through Isa Carstens Academy in Stellenbosch as well as a qualified Fitness Professional, obtained through the Exercise Teachers Academy in Stellenbosch.

She started her career as a skin care therapist in her own salon in the Eastern Cape, combining her knowledge of skin care with her knowledge of the body & fitness to give her clients a more holistic approach to staying healthy and looking good.

In 2002, she started working as a lecturer for a well-known Skin Care Academy in the Western Cape and has been involved in education and training ever since. She has also been extensively involved in researching and writing course materials in both the Skin Care and Fitness Fields.

In 2010, Lindi left her position as the principal of the International Academy of Health and Skin Care in Cape Town and joined Skin Renewal where she serves on the Cape Town Support Team. She is involved in the training and education of the Cape Town based therapists and Managers and assists in research and product testing for Dr Maureen Allem. She constantly attends various lectures and training in the medical aesthetics field in order to stay up to date with the most current and effective treatments and technologies, ensuring that Skin Renewal's therapists are constantly growing in both knowledge and experience, in order to give our patients the very best treatments and service.

Rentia Jacobs

Rentia completed her Health and Skin Care qualification at Isa Carstens Academy in Stellenbosch specialising in Spa Management in her third year of study. After graduating, she worked on luxury Cruise Liners for 4 years. She also completed a Business Management course at Stellenbosch University Business School.

After working as Business Development Manager for a prominent Italian Skin Care company in South Africa, she decided to invest some of her experience into training and joined the team at the Isa Carstens Academy.

A new opportunity presented itself with the Soccer World Cup fast approaching, and she set out to do the development, set-up and management of a five star Spa and Wellness Centre in a brand new five star hotel, walking distance from the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.

In 2010 she joined Skin Renewal and forms part of the Cape Town Support Team. She is involved in the management of operations of the Cape Town Skin Renewal branches and she assist in marketing and development of new and existing branches for the Cape region. To stay on top of new business strategies, and assist each staff member in their own personal and career development is one of her many goals.

Irma Nel

Irma-Nel

Irma Nel qualified as a Somatologist in 1993, at Aesthetica in Brooklyn, Pretoria. Irma was often named Top Student. She has always had a passion for the Beauty Industry, loves interacting with people and aims to guide them to experience their optimum potential.

She has been working in this industry for 17 years, specializing in Management, Retail and Creativity. One of her career highlights was when she worked as a Representative for a Top Brand Company.

Through the amalgamation of her qualities, abilities, hard work and drive for success, she strives to deliver supreme and excellent service. By learning through continuous experience, Irma aims to achieve perfection in everything she does.

Irma Nel joined the Skin Renewal family as Training coordinator in November 2010 and forms part of the Gauteng Support Team.

Jo-Anne Morgan

Jo-Anne Morgan qualified as a Health and Skincare Therapist in 2000. Immediately upon qualifying, she began working on Norwegian cruise lines as a trainer, stock controller and therapist and eventually as part of the Mandara Spa Management team.Once back on dry land, Jo-Anne was given the opportunity of managing a large spa. It was in this typical "beauty" setting that she developed a passion for the medical aesthetic practices and so took the opportunity to run a laser clinic with a doctor.

From one opportunity to another, Jo-Anne took up a facilitator/lecturer position at a prominent private college for Health and Skincare, specializing in aesthetic training.

Jo-Anne joined Skin Renewal in January 2007, what was then only three branches. Having been the manager of the Parkhurst branch for three years, a challenge of a different nature was offered, and so she became the Clinical Manager for Skin Renewal and forms part of the Gauteng support team and now assists with computer & software support, manager and therapist support, training, stock systems and specializes in Pearl, Pearl fractional and PDT A.L.A treatments. An unshakable passion for the medical aesthetic industry and Skin Renewal has been a constant challenge and one that comes with new learning opportunities every day.

Jo-Anne also holds extensive diving certificates and is a qualified Emergency First Response Instructor and is an avid Sky diving enthusiast.

Christine Lewis

Christine matriculated in 1995. After a brief stint as an Oncology Nursing Student, she did a course in Office Administration and Salon Management. During the next years; Christine worked in a variety of positions in the health, medical and beauty industry.

In 2009, Christine became part of the Cape Town Support Team, the excellent force behind the Skin Renewal branches in the Western Cape, making sure that everything runs smoothly. Christine has everything under perfect control, from sorting out Telkom lines to electricity problems; from renovating to designing the beautiful interiors of the different salons and from promotions to client support and personnel. In short: Christine is the quiet invisible lady behind the scenes, making sure that you as our most revered customer gets the best possible service in a beautiful professional ambience.
