Skin Renewals very own Ninja Needle Dr Shahra Sattar loves to help patients feel confident about themselves through the vehicle of aesthetic treatments.
A highly skilled medical Dr Shahra expresses that becoming a mom at the ripe ‘old’ age of almost 40 has been her greatest achievement thus far. Dr Shahra graduated from UCT with her medical degree but it is perhaps the years which followed that are the most impressive. A recipient of the prestigious Fogarty International Scholarship Dr Shahra attended the prestigious Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University in the USA. She also went on to obtain a masters degree in public health from the University of Cape Town in 2013.
Chatting to Dr Shahra she explains ‘I draw on all previous knowledge and experience which I have gained in my medical career to offer aesthetic patients the best service and journey’. When asked what her favourite procedure is ‘lip enhancement with filler’ she instantly responds.
Dr Shahra joined The Renewal Institute in 2014 and entered into an intensive in house training program which included shadowing Dr Maureen Allem to learn about the intricacies of injectables and aesthetic medicine. A passionate student Dr Shahra enjoys the monthly doctors meetings and the meeting of minds in addition to regularly attending non-surgical, anti-ageing congresses and workshops. She is also a member of AAMSA (The Aesthetic & Anti-Ageing Medicine Society of South Africa.
Dr Shahras passion is infectious it is no surprise that she is a professional tribal fusion dancer that performs with a dance troupe called Soma. Dr Shahra brings her vivacious flair to all that she touches, her poetry, dancing, motherhood and medical aesthetics.
She is based in Cape Town and operates from Skin Renewals Claremont, Constantia and Cape Quarter branches.
