Laser Treatment Post-Care Instructions:

• Skin Cooling: After laser treatment, it's common to use cold cloths, cold packs, or cooling gels immediately after treatment to help reduce swelling and discomfort caused by the more intense heat used.
• Moisturisation: Specific post-laser creams should be applied regularly to help with healing, reduce excessive inflammation, and provide a moisture barrier.
• Avoidance of Irritants: Due to increased skin sensitivity, post-laser care usually requires avoiding all potential irritants, such as soaps, any harsh makeup, perfumes, or any products containing alcohol or fragrances.
• Sun Protection: Strict avoidance of sun exposure is crucial after laser treatments. Sun protection with a high SPF is mandatory, and covering treated areas to prevent any sun damage is often recommended because laser treatments can make the skin more sensitive to UV rays.
• Physical Exfoliation: Avoid physical exfoliants for an extended period. Laser treatments can significantly thin the stratum corneum, making the skin very sensitive to mechanical abrasion.

Light Treatment Post-Care Instructions:

• Mild Cooling: Cooling measures, such as cool cloths, are also applied after IPL treatments but can be less intense.
• Light Moisturisation: Lighter moisturizers or specific post-procedure creams that are less heavy than those used post-laser are often sufficient to keep the skin hydrated.
• Sun Protection: Sun avoidance and protection remain important, but the emphasis might be slightly less stringent than laser treatments, although a high SPF is still recommended.
• Exfoliation: Physical exfoliation might be reintroduced sooner compared to post-laser care, depending on the skin's response and the specific type of light treatment.
