The Science Behind Pearl Fusion

Pearl Fusion utilises a synergistic approach by integrating two laser technologies: the Cutera Pearl™ Resurfacing and the Cutera Pearl™ Fractional Laser. This combination targets both the surface and deeper layers of the skin. The Pearl™ Resurfacing technique rejuvenates the entire epidermis, enhancing skin tone and texture and promoting elasticity, while Pearl™ Fractional employs fractional ablative technology to penetrate deeper into the skin, addressing more severe imperfections like deep wrinkles and acne scars.

Comprehensive Benefits of Pearl Fusion

The Cutera Pearl™ Fusion's dual action improves the skin's surface appearance by reducing pigment issues and fine lines and promoting intensive healing beneath the skin. This process stimulates new collagen production, filling out the skin from within to diminish signs of ageing and damage. The result is a smoother, firmer, and more youthful complexion, achieved with fewer treatments and a quicker recovery than many alternative methods.

Who Should Consider the Cutera Pearl™ Fusion Treatment?

The Cutera Pearl™ Fusion treatment is particularly effective for individuals experiencing significant photodamage, deep facial wrinkles, and skin laxity. It is ideally suited for those with Fitzpatrick skin types 1 to 3 who are seeking rapid improvement in their skin’s appearance. The treatment targets specific areas prone to ageing, such as the peri-orbital and peri-oral zones, frown lines, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and regions with acne scarring.

While Cutera Pearl™ Fusion offers significant benefits, it is not suitable for all skin types. Specifically, individuals with darker skin (types 4 to 6) are advised against this treatment due to the potential risks of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or other side effects. Additionally, patients with recent sun exposure are recommended to postpone the procedure to ensure optimal safety and results.

Combining Cutera Pearl™ Fusion with Other Treatments

Once the skin has adequately healed from a Pearl™ Fusion treatment, patients may enhance their results with complementary aesthetic treatments. In subsequent weeks, options such as Botox® or Dysport®, dermal fillers, Laser Genesis™ Skin Rejuvenation, RF Needling, and more can be scheduled to maintain and extend the Pearl™ Fusion's benefits.

Cutera Pearl™ Fusion focuses on delivering safe, effective results. It is not performed on the body or chest, as these areas are more challenging to heal. At Skin Renewal, prioritising patient safety and optimal outcomes is paramount.

frequently asked
questions

Is the Cutera Pearl™ Fusion Treatment available at all Skin Renewal Clinics?
Who would benefit from treatments with Pearl Fusion?

Many patients experience optimal results with a full-face Pearl™ Resurfacing treatment, which enhances the overall quality and appearance of the skin. This comprehensive treatment boosts the skin's collagen production, helping to diminish fine lines, smooth uneven textures, repair sun damage, reduce discoloration, and impart a radiant glow to the skin.

For areas with more significant photo-damage, Pearl™ Fractional is the preferred choice. This targeted treatment reaches deeper layers of the dermis, making it highly effective for reducing acne scars and deep wrinkles. It is particularly beneficial for challenging areas such as around the lips, eyes, and cheeks, where deeper imperfections often reside.

What are the typical areas that are treated?

Pearl™ Fractional treatments are done on targeted zones as this is the procedure's deepest and most aggressive part. The target zones commonly treated include:

  • Peri-Orbital (Around the eyes)
  • Peri-Oral (around the mouth)
  • Frown lines (on the forehead and between the brows)
  • Nasolabial folds and Marionette Lines
  • Acne scarring on the upper cheeks
  • Pre-Cancerous Lesions
