Skin Renewal CSI

Community Social Investment at Skin Renewal

Healthcare and Wellness with Purpose

Care That Extends Beyond the Treatment Room

At Skin Renewal, care is not a campaign. It is a constant. As a doctor-led medical aesthetics and wellness group in South Africa, Skin Renewal believes that responsible healthcare extends beyond clinical treatment into meaningful community impact. Our commitment to Community Social Investment (CSI) is rooted in a simple belief - meaningful transformation extends beyond our clinics and into the communities we serve.

Our Vision guides everything we do:

To facilitate the continuous transformation of all the lives we touch. That promise applies to our patients, our teams, and the wider communities we are part of.

Our Approach to CSI

We take a considered, long-term view of social responsibility. Rather than one-off initiatives, our CSI involvement is shaped by our core values. This approach allows us to build authentic relationships and support causes aligned with health, dignity, and well-being.

  • We serve with empathy, respect, and intention.
  • We Educate because informed communities are empowered communities.
  • We Innovate to ensure our contribution is meaningful and sustainable.
  • We Inspire by showing up consistently.
  • We Offer Solutions that create real, practical impact.

Our Current CSI Commitments in South Africa

ILoveBoobies

ILoveBoobies

Breast Health Awareness and Education

Skin Renewal is proud to support ILoveBoobies, an organisation focused on breast health awareness, education, and early detection.

Breast health is closely aligned with our medical and wellness philosophy, making this a natural and meaningful partnership for Skin Renewal.

Komani

Komani

An Ongoing Partnership

Skin Renewal maintains an active, ongoing relationship with Komani, supporting their work to advance community health and wellbeing.

This partnership reflects our belief in long-term involvement and shared purpose, rather than short-term interventions.

Reach for Your Slippers

Reach for Your Slippers

An Annual Tradition of Hope

Each year, Skin Renewal proudly takes part in Reach for Your Slippers, an initiative by the Reach For A Dream Foundation that brings hope to children facing serious illness.

When illness steals childhood moments, this campaign reminds us of the power of compassion and collective action. Through in-clinic fundraising and team participation, including donning slippers with purpose, our teams help support the foundation’s mission of turning dreams into cherished memories for children and their families.

This initiative has become a meaningful annual tradition across our clinics, reflecting our belief that small, consistent acts can make a lasting difference.

Moving for a Cause

Moving for a Cause

SPAR Women’s Run/Walk

Each year, Skin Renewal encourages employees to take part in the SPAR Women’s Run/Walk events in Pretoria, Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Durban.

Whether running, walking, or simply showing up with enthusiasm, our teams participate for a cause, supporting community upliftment while embracing connection, movement, and fun.

It is a reminder that sometimes doing good starts with putting one foot in front of the other, together.

Causes We Care About

Khulisa's Social Solutions

Streetscapes in Cape Town remain a cause close to our hearts. While we are not actively involved at all times, we recognise and value the work they do in restoring dignity and creating pathways forward for individuals experiencing homelessness. We remain open to future involvement where alignment and impact are right.

Kliptown Community, Soweto

Skin Renewal previously supported the Kliptown community in Soweto through a hands-on, sustainability-focused initiative.

Our involvement included helping to establish a vegetable garden, a community library, and a sewing group, affectionately known to us as The Kliptown Gogos. This group continues to produce the compresses used at Skin Renewal to this day, a legacy we remain deeply proud of.

As the project evolved, it became clear that the broader needs of the Kliptown community extend far beyond what we can realistically provide. Access to basic infrastructure such as running water, sewerage systems, and electricity remains a significant challenge.

While our formal involvement has paused due to these limitations, Kliptown remains close to our hearts. We remain open to future initiatives where our skills, resources, and support can meaningfully contribute.

Sometimes caring means knowing your limits, while still keeping the door open.

Previous CSI Initiatives

Over the years, Skin Renewal has been involved in several CSI projects and community initiatives, among them the Ark Animal Centre, Husky Rescue KZN, the Cart Horse Protection Association (CHPA), the community green space upliftment of the James and Ethel Gray Park, the Christine Revell Children’s Home, the Rape Crisis Centre at Karl Bremer Hospital, the Twilight Children, Nurturing Orphans of AIDS for Humanity (NOAH), Co-Sanc Cat Shelter, and Children of Fire.

Each of these initiatives formed part of our broader commitment to social responsibility and care beyond the clinic environment, while reinforcing our belief in meaningful, values-aligned contribution.

CSI at Skin Renewal is a shared effort, strengthened by the involvement of our patients and community.

How You Can Get Involved with Skin Renewal CSI Projects

Our CSI initiatives are strengthened by the collective care of our community. If you would like to contribute, there are several simple ways to get involved.

  • Donate in-branch: You are welcome to add a CSI donation when settling your invoice at any Skin Renewal clinic.
  • Donate online: CSI donations can also be added to your online invoice by selecting the CSI Donation option during checkout.
  • Support through select in-branch initiatives: From time to time, select Skin Renewal clinics offer CSI items such as special-occasion cookies, with proceeds supporting our community initiatives.
  • Purchase I Love Boobies socks: I Love Boobies socks are available for purchase at all Skin Renewal branches, supporting breast health awareness initiatives.
  • Donate preloved bras: During October, gently used or preloved bras may be dropped off at your nearest Skin Renewal branch in support of breast health initiatives.

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps extend care beyond the treatment room.

Our Commitment

CSI at Skin Renewal is not about visibility. It is about responsibility. We remain committed to:

  • Supporting initiatives aligned with health, wellness, and human dignity.
  • Building relationships that stand the test of time.
  • Ensuring our CSI efforts are thoughtful, ethical, and impactful.

Because renewal is not only about how you look. It is about how you live and how you care for others along the way.
