In South Africa, organisations like the South African National Blood Service emphasise the importance of maintaining healthy blood stock levels to ensure hospitals are always prepared.
This drive welcomes parents, students, and community members who meet the donation requirements: being between 16 and 75 years old, weighing at least 50 kg, and being in good health. By participating in such drives, donors not only strengthen the healthcare system but also embody the spirit of community care and solidarity. The Brooklyn branch supports this initiative by hosting blood drives on-site.
