Lee-Zay Van Der Merwe

Originally from Malmesbury, just outside Cape Town, Lee-Zay developed a keen interest in skincare and wellness, which led her to pursue a Diploma in Somatology at Isa Carstens Academy in Stellenbosch and graduate in 2008.

She began her career at sea, spending two years as a skincare therapist aboard luxury cruise ships. She later returned for three additional contracts as a Spa Manager, gaining invaluable international experience in skincare, spa management and leadership.

After returning to Cape Town, Lee-Zay continued her spa career before shifting into education and professional development. She spent five years lecturing at Isa Carstens Academy, sharing her knowledge and practical experience with aspiring skincare professionals. Her expertise in training and mentorship later led her to a Regional Trainer role at the Amani Spa Group.

In 2019, Lee-Zay joined Skin Renewal, bringing a wealth of experience in advanced skincare, education, and team leadership. After successfully leading the Claremont branch, she embarked on an exciting new chapter in 2026, taking on the role of Branch Leader at Skin Renewal Big Bay.

With her extensive industry knowledge, approachable nature and commitment to excellence, Lee-Zay takes pride in supporting her team and creating an environment where every patient receives professional, personalised care and feels genuinely welcome.
