What is the SD Azelaic Peel?

The SD Azelaic Peel (by Simildiet) is a low pH combination peel, containing Azelaic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Lactic Acid and Arnica. The unique formulation ensures that all the main signs and symptoms of acne are targeted, namely oiliness, congestion, breakouts, PIH and inflammation.

Unlike many other peels and resurfacers (exfoliators) used for Acne, the SD Azelaic peel formulation is designed in such a way to minimize the typical uncomfortable sensation caused by chemical peels, and the anti-inflammatory effects of the arnica and salicylic acid cause the skin to recover very quickly. Because of the peel’s design, there is minimal visible peeling during the recovery period, making it much easier to “hide” the common post-peeling signs.

Is the SD Azelaic Peel safe for all skin types?

The SD Azelaic peel is excellent for all skin types. We do however take extra precautions when treating skin types 5 and 6 due to the sensitive nature of these skin types.

This peel rejuvenates skin, producing beautiful results in treating mild to severe acne, and epidermal hyper-pigmentation. (Peeling the face, neck, back and upper chest is also quite effective). Acne 2 in 1 from Mannalabs is recommended for Acne prone patients to assist in treating acne from the inside.
