Gerda’s husband entered her into Mooimaak. At first, she was very skeptical and hesitant to partake, as her time is so limited and she does not like change! Gerda is also a creature of habit – routine and order are very important to her as she spends all her time, money and energy on her family and never puts herself first. Gerda and her husband have two children: a special needs son of 11 and a little girl of 2, who they love and adore! It has always been a dream for Gerda to fix her teeth, which have been a bother and financial burden since she can remember. That in addition to the new look Renewal Institute was able to give Gerda has made her look 10 years younger, and more confident!

Gerda's Treatments

Gerda’s Mooimaak journey was led by Dr Rulene Maré, with additional treatments performed by therapist Lizanne Burton over a course of 9 weeks. The focus with Gerda’s treatment plan was to improve her hooded eyelids to give her a fresh and open expression, through means of a non-surgical brow lift, targeted eye treatments and general skin rejuvenation.

Silhouette Soft® Brow lift

Silhouette Soft® is a FDA cleared, minimally invasive treatment used to lift and tighten sagging tissue. For Gerda, Dr Rulene achieved an instant brow lift of a few millimeters which opened her eyes giving her a fresh and revitalised look with no pain or downtime.

"The treatment was quite sensitive, and I looked a bit odd whilst healing, but I could continue with my daily activities. The elasticity around my eyes are much better and the skin tighter!"

Jett Plasma Eye Rejuvenation

Jett Plasma promotes skin tightening and collagen production in the sensitive eye area. This medical device is the first patented direct current electrocauter in the world, and the treatment is based on an electrical discharge. Gerda had two Jett Plasma treatments and now has tighter, stronger and firmer skin to open her eyes and prevent sagging hooded eyelids!

Limelight Laser

The Limelight laser is used for improving pigmentation and to even out discoloration, sun damage as well as uneven skin tone. It is a medical light system that offers superior results in treating epidermal pigmentation concerns with minimal downtime and discomfort.

3D Liquid Facelift

The 3D Liquid Facelift is a combination of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers and botulinum toxin to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, volume restoration and facial balance. Botulinum Toxin temporarily inhibits muscle movement in the treated area removing fine lines and wrinkles, whilst dermal fillers replace lost volume, create balance and restore youthful appearance.
